James F. Lesch, D.D.S., PA General & Family Dentistry
Dr. James Lesch began providing comfortable dental care to Lakeville families in 2009. Since then, he has assisted numerous patients to achieve their goal of a healthy, attractive and functional dentition.
Dr. Lesch places great emphasis on treating one patient at a time, considering each individual’s oral health needs and desires. For Dr. Lesch, “comprehensive dentistry” means not only a full spectrum of services, but even more importantly, each patient understanding his/her dental condition with an array of treatment options as well as benefits.
Dr Lesch enjoys providing a multitude of dental therapies and has completed training for the surgical placement of dental implants through the Rocky Mountain Dental Institute in Denver, Co. He has placed a number of Biohorizon Implants, experiencing excellent biocompatibility and success. His experience has enabled him to assess each individual implant situation and find the method that will lead to the best result. Pending complexity, he may perform the surgical implant placement or choose to work collaboratively with his Oral Surgeon colleagues to obtain a healthy, esthetic and functional implant outcome.
Dr. Lesch graduated from The University of Iowa in 1991 and spent several years in marketing before returning to school to pursue dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2001, followed by a one-year General Hospital Dental residency at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis. While at the University of Minnesota, he was the sole recipient of the “Pediatric Dentistry Award” for the graduating Class of 2001 Doctor of Dental Surgery in recognition of his excellent skills in putting children at ease and providing quality care.
Prior to joining the Lakeville community, Dr. Lesch provided an array of services as a partner in a group practice in Richfield for seven years. Since moving “south of the river”, Dr. Lesch has been blessed and fortunate to have several hundred patients follow him to his current south metro office. He especially appreciates the trust these individuals and families place in him. One can often hear him talking with a patient and thanking him/her for their continued friendship. Dr. Lesch says, “These patients pass a lot of dental offices on their drive to see us, coming from all over Minneapolis /St. Paul and we always want to recognize that!”
Dr. Lesch purchased his current dental practice from Dr. Gregory Smith, when he retired in 2009 after 27 well respected years serving the Lakeville community. Dr. Lesch is recognized by many local families as “their dentist” for all their dental needs.
